ABOUT ME...

I am currently studying for a Master's in Public Health, and am due to graduate in 2024. My background is in Adult Nursing, having qualified in 2019. Initially, I worked in Intensive Care, before moving into experimental medicine as a Clinical Research Nurse specialising in Hepatology. I stepped away from nursing in 2022 to explore new areas of healthcare.

Alongside studying, I work with the CQC as an Expert by Experience for mental health and autism/learning disability services, including conducting Mental Health Act Reviews. I also sit on the board of trustees for my local Healthwatch.

I am passionate about mental health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and care for the LGBTQIA+ community. I have worked with a local mental health charity for a number of years, and am also a campaign leader with Youth StopAIDS. I have lived experience with mental health conditions, autism and ADHD, and type 1 diabetes after being diagnosed in 2006. I am also a survivor of sexual violence.
